Important note

According to Article 4 of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the person involved is responsible. Therefore, in the upcoming sections of this document, you will be referred to as the 'data subject'.

§ 1 Management of personal data.

The collection of personal information is legally allowed under Article 6(1)(a) of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when the individual's consent is given.

1.1. Legal basis

The GDPR specifies in Article 6, paragraph 1, point b the legal basis for processing personal data that is essential for carrying out a contract involving the data subject. This provision also covers processing activities required for pre-contractual measures.

1.2 Processing of personal data

When my company is required to fulfil a legal obligation, the processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, letter c of the GDPR, which serves as the legal basis.

1.3 Safeguard your personal data

When it becomes necessary to process personal data in order to safeguard the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person, Article 6, paragraph 1, letter d of the GDPR serves as the legal foundation.

1.4 Protection company or a third-party

When the processing is necessary to protect a legitimate interest of my company or a third-party, and as long as the interests, fundamental rights, and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh this interest, the legal basis for the processing is provided by Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f of the GDPR.

§ 2 Data erasure and storage period

When the need for storage is no longer important, the personal information of the individual will be quickly deleted or restricted. The data may be kept by the controller if it is required by EU regulations, laws, or other rules set by the European or national legislator. Furthermore, the data will be restricted or deleted once the specified storage period mentioned in the standards is over, unless there is a need to keep the data for fulfilling or concluding a contract.

§ 3 Details regarding personal information

Here are the specifics about how I collect personal information on my website. Personal information includes any data that can be linked to you personally, like your name, address, email addresses, and how you use the site.

3.1 Personal information

When you reach out to me via email or a contact form, any information you provide (such as your email address, name, and telephone number if necessary) will be kept by me to effectively respond to your queries. I will delete this data once it is no longer needed, or follow legal requirements by limiting its use.

3.2 Service providers

If I hire service providers for certain tasks or use your data for advertising, I will give you more information about the procedures. I will also explain how long your data will be stored based on specific criteria.

3.4 Use of cookies

In addition to what was mentioned earlier, our website also uses cookies. These cookies are small text files that are saved on your computer's hard drive and connected to the browser you are using. They help transfer specific information to the source that created the cookie. It's important to know that cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. Their purpose is to improve the user-friendliness and overall effectiveness of the website.

Different kinds of cookies

This site uses different types of cookies, each with its own purpose and function. These include:

  1. Transient cookies

  2. Persistent cookies

  3. Flash cookies

Transient cookies

Each type of cookie has its own scope and function, which will be further elaborated upon below. When you close the browser, transient cookies, specifically session cookies, are automatically deleted. These cookies contain a session ID that helps link multiple requests from your browser to the same session. This enables your computer to be identified when you revisit our website. The session cookies are removed upon logging out or closing the browser.

Persistent cookies

Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a certain period of time, which can vary depending on the specific cookie. You can choose to delete these cookies whenever you want by accessing your browser's security settings.

Customizing your browser settings allows you to personalize them to your preferences. For example, you can choose to reject third-party cookies or all cookies in general. However, please be aware that blocking third-party cookies, which are set by external sources rather than the website you are currently on, may limit the functionality of this website. Please keep this in mind.

If you have an account with me, I use cookies to recognize you during future visits. Otherwise, you would need to log in again each time you visit.

Flash cookies

The Flash cookies used are not stored by your browser, but by your Flash plug-in. I also use HTML5 storage objects that are saved on your device. These objects keep the necessary data regardless of the browser you use and don't expire automatically. To manage and delete Flash cookies, adjust the settings in the Adobe Flash Player settings manager at Macromedia.com.

To prevent Flash cookies, you can install add-ons like "Better Privacy" for Mozilla Firefox or Adobe Flash Killer cookie for Google Chrome.

Another option is to enable private mode in your browser, which disables the use of HTML5 storage objects. It's also a good idea to regularly delete your cookies and browser history manually.

I can only store essential cookies on your device as per regulations. For other types of cookies, I need your explicit consent. My website uses various cookies, including those from third-party entities. You can modify or revoke your consent anytime through the cookie statement on our website.

§ 4 Additional features and services

In addition to providing information, my website also offers various services that you might find interesting. To access these services, you usually need to provide additional personal information. I use this information to provide the specific service, following the data processing principles mentioned earlier. Mandatory information is marked with an asterisk, while information in non-marked fields is optional.

§ 5 Right of the data subject

The rights of the data subject, as mentioned in Article 15 of the GDPR, are explained in the next section. If you wish to exercise these rights, you can contact me directly. I will carefully assess your request to ensure that it complies with the necessary legal obligations and conditions.

If needed, I will request more information from you. I will explain the findings of my review and how we will fulfil your request in a detailed way. It is possible that I may not be able to fulfil your exact desires completely. But, don't let that stop you from asserting your rights or asking me for clarification. I am happy to answer any questions you have.

5.1 Right to obtain information

You have the right to ask me for information about how I handle your personal data. This includes knowing if I am processing your data and what kind of data it is. You also have the right to know why I am processing your data, who I may have shared it with, how long I will keep it, and where the data came from if I didn't collect it directly from you. Additionally, you can request a one-time copy of your personal data that I have stored, and I won't charge you for it. However, if you want additional copies, I may charge a reasonable administrative fee.

5.2 Right to rectification

If you discover any incorrect personal data stored about you, you have the right to ask for it to be corrected. You also have the right to request the completion of any incomplete personal data. You can request the removal of any data I have stored about your personal information. If I have made this data public, I must share all links, copies, or reproductions of it with other data controllers responsible for processing this specific personal data. This is in line with the "right to be forgotten" mentioned in Article 17, paragraph 2 of the GDPR. It is important to consider the available technology and the costs involved in fulfilling this request.

5.3 Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request that I limit the processing of your data that I have stored. This means that I would need your consent or a specific legal reason to continue processing your data.

If I am using the balancing of interests as the basis for processing your personal data, you can object to it. If the processing is not necessary for fulfilling a contract with you, you can also object. Please provide reasons for your objection, and I will review the situation. I may either stop or adjust the data processing, or provide you with compelling reasons to continue processing your data.

5.5. Right to data portability

You can ask me to give you your personal data in a format that can be easily read by machines. This way, you can transfer it to another person or organization if you want.

5.6 Complaints can be made to a supervisory authority.

You can file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you are not satisfied with how I handle your personal information.

5.7 Automated decision-making including profiling

You can request information about automated decision-making, including profiling, as stated in Art. 22 (1) and (4) GDPR. In these cases, you have the right to receive meaningful details about the logic used, the extent of the processing, and the expected impact on your data.

§ 6 Web analysis tools

The web analysis tools mentioned in this section are justified by article 6, paragraph 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. This article aims to protect my legitimate interests while considering the interests of my website visitors. My main objective is to analyse how visitors use my website to enhance my offerings and provide a better user experience. I will explicitly inform you in the explanations of the respective analysis tool if it serves other purposes or is used for my other interests.

6.1 Google Analytics usage

This site utilizes Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics employs "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to analyse how users utilize the site.

6.2 Google server

The data generated by the use of cookies regarding your site usage is typically transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this site, your IP address will first be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states that are part of the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

6.3 IP address

Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will utilize this information on behalf of the website operator to analyse your site usage, create reports on site activity, and provide the website operator with other services related to site activity and internet usage. Google Analytics will keep your browser's IP address separate from any other data it collects.

6.4 Decline use of cookies

If you choose to adjust the settings on your browser, you can decline the use of cookies. However, please be aware that doing so may limit your ability to fully utilize all the features of this website.

6.5 Stop Google from gathering data

Additionally, you have the option to stop Google from gathering data, including your IP address, and processing it by downloading and installing the browser plug-in provided at this link: Tools.google.com.

6.6 Google Analytics extensions

This site utilizes Google Analytics with the "_anonymiseIp ()" extension. This ensures that IP addresses are processed in a shortened format, preventing any connection to an individual. If any personally identifiable information is gathered, it is promptly removed and deleted.

In cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has agreed to abide by the EU-US Privacy Shield, which can be found at Privacyshield.gov.
